Atty. Gloria S. Tirado (2014 Asst. Treasurer)
Atty. Gloria S. Tirado, “Aya” as called by her family and friends, is one of the Senior Lawyers assigned at the Commission Legal Department of the Philippine Social Security System. Since her appointment to the civil service in 1997, Atty. Tirado has been performing the function of a Hearing Officer for cases filed before the Social Security Commission involving violations of the Social Security Act. She likewise assists the Commission, as governing body of the SSS, in its policy making functions by providing legal and technical expertise in rendering legal opinions and important legal researches concerning various legal issues.
She has drawn an extensive knowledge about social security from steady exposures to various international studies, on-the-job trainings and conferences related to Social Security, particularly in Germany, Belgium and other parts of Asia.
As a scholarship grantee (for international leadership training on social security and pension system for aging population) by the German government, through the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, a federally owned enterprise supported by the German Government in the field of international cooperation and sustainable development, Atty. Tirado takes active participation in community building by volunteering her services in the cooperative movements in Taguig City.
