Atty. Darwin G. De Leon
Atty. Darwin G. De Leon is currently the OIC-Senior Manager of the Prosecution Department of PhilHealth. His department is tasked to handle prosecutorial duties in administrative cases within PhilHealth and handle other outside cases under litigation where PhilHealth is a party litigant. Before being given the responsibility to head the Prosecution Department, he formerly served as Senior Arbiter of the Arbitration Office, which is the Quasi-Judicial arm of PhilHealth. He first entered PhilHealth in 2005 as Attorney V of the Fact-Finding Investigation and Enforcement Department (FFIED).
He started his career in government as a fresh graduate from college at the House of Representatives as a Congressional Staff in 1997 and has been in the government service for twelve (12) years. He then continued his government service at the Supreme Court of the Philippines from 1999 up to 2005. While in the Supreme Court, he was chosen to be a member of the board of the Supreme Court Association of Lawyer Employees (SCALE). He became a member of the Bar in 2002 after hurdling the 2001 Bar Exams.
He obtained his Law Degree at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Law in 2001 and his Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science at the University of the Philippines-Manila in 1997. He has been happily married for 16 years and blessed with two daughters. He spends his free time watching movies with his family or riding his mountain bike.
